Rebecca Björnsdotter comes from a family of craftsmen with constant curiosity and passion for new solutions.
She studied Textile Fashion with a focus on historical costumes. During one of the projects, matching shoes could not be found. Rebecca started experimenting with various materials and designs resulting in her first pair of sandals. This led to Footwear Design and Technology at Cordwainers at London College of Fashion. Here Rebecca delved into shoe construction and fell in love with the technical aspects of shoe design. Being able to master all the details is of great importance to her, and her shoes became pieces of art. Since graduating Rebecca has freelanced as a shoe designer.
In 2016 Rebecca launched her first full collection her her eponymous line. Several shoes in the debut collection bear the artful touch from college but are adapted to work for women’s everyday life today. Rebecca’s interest in ancient Nordic history combined with classical elegance and exquisite Italian craftsmanship create a signature look like no other. Rebecca showed her debut collection at London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2016.
